      these are the south-western slopes of Mount Hermon in the north of Israel, elev. 2KM (~6500 ft)
      Mount Hermon's peak is at 2.8KM (~9200 ft), it's controlled by the UN.

Atraphaxis billardierei is a shrublet of the Polygonaceae family. it grows on mountains, elev. 1600-2200m/ flowering in June-July, it has small white flowers and red winged fruit.
