
Cistus forester male - Adscita cf. geryon
Determining the species is quite difficult. The other two very similar species are Jordanita globulariae and Adscita statices. The wingspan of this specimen was about 21-22 mm. I tend to believe that the species is rather Adscita geryon based on the size, the information that the species was registered in this area and that it feeds on nectar from plants of Asteraceae family.

''Adscita geryon'', the cistus forester, is a moth of the Zygaenidae family. It is found in southern and central Europe, east to Turkey. It is also present in Great Britain. The wingspan is 20–25 mm. Adults are on wing in July in one generation per year. They feed on the nectar of ''Gymnadenia'' species.
