
Common Broom, Heesch, Netherlands
These flowers have an interesting pollination tactic documented in the video below. My photo shows an already opened flower, note how the anthers are visible. These are triggered like a catapult when the pollinator feeds on the nectar available in the hole above it.

"Cytisus scoparius", the common broom or Scotch broom, syn. "Sarothamnus scoparius", is a perennial leguminous shrub native to western and central Europe.
