Carpenter Ant Galleries (Formicidae - Camponotus sp.) One of the reasons that I think these are ant galleries because they are so clean. Other insects would have tons of debris and frass in the galleries. Ants are very clean though, and when they excavate decayed wood, they carry out the sawdust bits and dump them in a pile outside the log! <br />
