Carters Lake Reregulation Reservoir
This beautiful view is only a mile or so from our land and a short hike away! We often see birders out here (this is on the Hidden Pond Songbird Trail), so I may have to pick up that hobby in the near future!
According to GeorgiaTrails.com, "Through the area runs the remnants of the Georgia Road created by the Treaty of Telico in 1804. It would be known as the old Federal Highway after Andrew Jackson and his army did some work on it in 1819."
