The rusty-winged barbtail is a species of bird in the family Furnariidae. It is the only member of the genus ''Premnornis''. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela, where its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forest.
