Wild Cucumber - Echinocystis lobata The fruit is a pod-like container that is covered with spines and holds 4 seeds. It kind of looks like a spiny watermelon. It turns papery brown as seeds ripen. Once ripe, the bottom of the pod opens up, dropping the seed to the ground.<br />
