  1. Sweet face and I like the colouring on this character. These common names confuse me at times, I'd assumed you'd headed over to the west where you'd crossed paths, but looking this species up I see that they are all across the country in the southern regions - all the way east up to the Great Dividing Range it seems.     1. No Paul ,not my pet. This one I found in a coastal flora reserve and they are quite used to people and allow you to get fairly close. If a would have moved a couple of steps closer it would have moved away. Posted 5 years ago

The western grey kangaroo is a large and very common kangaroo or macropod, found across almost the entire southern part of Australia, from just south of Shark Bay to coastal South Australia, western Victoria, and the entire Murray–Darling Basin in New South Wales and Queensland. The subspecies on Kangaroo Island, South Australia, is known as the Kangaroo Island kangaroo.
