Pincushion Moss - Leucobryum glaucum
The leaves have broad midribs, which make the leaves look really thick and fleshy. When the plant dries out, it's color changes from green to a pale whitish green. The ones I saw in the woods were pretty pale, which I thought was weird since it just snowed last night, and I would assume they wouldn't be that dry.
Habitat: Mixed swamp/hilly forest

L. glaucum grows in very dense, glaucous green, swollen cushions or hummocks, turning dirty white when dry, and sometimes over 50 cm tall.
