Checking things out! When going for a picnic we decided to get too close to this Red-breasted Sap Sucker’s nesting tree. The ruckus caused by the two adults was enough to make us move to a new place to eat lunch. The nest site was in a long dead alder tree very close to a salt water lagoon.
