At the moment, the species name Hierodula manillana is considered a junior synonym of Hierodula patellifera (Asian Mantis). However, it has been verified that Hierodula manillana is a valid species, and is recorded from Philippines. <br />
Scientific work to restore it as valid species is in progress now and hopefully will be publish in the near future.<br />

  It was all thanks to my Taxanomist friend, he is working with 2 others to correct some of the descriptions with the genus Hierodula, which now has more than 90 ssp :D Posted 5 years ago
