Attelabus nitens (Scopoli, 1763) is a attractively coloured weevil species of Coleoptera polyphagous insects belonging to Attelabidae family. The males measure about 5mm in length, but the females are larger, at around 7-8mm. The single egg is laid near the edge of a leaf, the leaf is cut and rolled up to protect the developing egg.
