  1. Hi DR_M_Z. I'm not 100% sure given the angle, but your bird's yellow lores and chin, combined with the grey cheek, plus the chunky, manakin-like jizz, make me think this is a wing-barred piprites, rather than a flatbill. Posted 4 years ago

The wing-barred piprites is a species of bird which traditionally has placed in the family Pipridae, although it remains unclear if this is correct. It is therefore considered ''incertae sedis'' by recent authorities such as SACC.
