Madagascar Firefly by day in Andasibe

Spotted this odd insect myself in the Andasibe forest of Madagascar. According to our guide it is a firefly specie. We're still not sure which exact specie though, and quite likely, we will never know :)

Hey, I can even see it's led up front:) Wow, that is very well spotted!! Tricky IDing, as you normally only ever see them easily at night. You've captured quite some detail, so maybe in the future someone will, Ferdy.

One thing is sure, you'll never find it among the fireflies because it is a jewel beetle - Polybothris luczoti.
