Blood sucker Lizard... I always wanted to see this lizard in its breeding colours as I was fascinated by their photographs on the internet. I see them around as its the most abundant species of lizard in India but never I could see one with body fully coloured red untill this moment. I stay in a coastal city called Mumbai and I got this opportunity of seeing one in its breeding colours thousands of kilometers far from my home at an altitude of 1400m in Himalayas.<br />
Actually I was on my way to the study site and took a break on road as I saw a bird called Little Forktail and in the wait game I happened to spot this beauty and suddenly I decided to give up on that bird and started getting close to this cautiously as this was on a dense bush on the edge of the road and one wrong step would&#039;ve introduced me to valley up-close and I also had to make sure that I do not disturb this individual so as to trigger it to move inside and taking a clean record would not be possible...
