Inflorescences - Alocasia scabriuscula - Elephant's Ear Little by little I am finding new species names for my sightings in North East Borneo in 2015. This plant was found in Tabin. Next picture shows the entire plant.
To be honest my ID is still speculative, based on the inflorescences. The leaves in the next picture make me doubt...the only thing I am sure of is that it is an Alocasia :-)
1. Yes, and at least the genus is Ok. I am doubtful because of the leaves that look like Alocasia macrorrhiza as well but I cannot find pictures of the inflorescences that look alike for the latter. I am selecting our Borneo pics from 2015 for Flickr albums and once in a while I get a new species name :-) Posted one month ago
