  1. Hi Ernst, I couldn't find any source indicating Boletus reticulatus has been found in Australia?
    BTW - there is a Wiki page of this species.

    1. Good morning Jivko. Yes you are right . I rechecked and must have confused the world distribution with another one. Will keep on looking. Thank you. The image I checked first is P.marginatus but then looked at another one of very similar appearance. Posted 5 years ago, modified 5 years ago

      I actually had to re- nameit to B.marginatus. Jivko pointed out that B.reticulatus doesn’t occur in Australia and yes he is correct.

"'Phlebopus marginatus'', known as the salmon gum mushroom in Western Australia, is a member of the Boletales or pored fungi and possibly Australia's largest terrestrial mushroom with the weight of one specimen from Victoria recorded at 29 kg . It is an imposing sight in forests of southeastern and southwestern Australia.
