Impatiens bisaccata, Balsamaceae
A pretty Impatiens species with cupped violet-mauve flowers, growing in wet shady wet cloud forest at Parc National Montagne D'Ambre, in northern Madagascar. This montane forest is an unusual respite from the hot dry surrounding region in that part of the country.
The golden-yellow on white markings in the centre provides a pleasing contrast to this unusual-shaped flower.
