  1. Another one of the larger Andean woodcreepers, characterized by its unstreaked body (as in other members of the genus) and its strong, hook-tipped bill, hence the name tyrannine : flycatcher-like. Posted 5 years ago, modified 5 years ago

The tyrannine woodcreeper is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family.
It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela.
Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
