The straight-billed woodcreeper is a species of bird in the woodcreeper subfamily . Its genus, ''Dendroplex'', was recently confirmed to be distinct from ''Xiphorhynchus''. It is found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, French Guiana, Guyana, Panama, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, and Venezuela.
