    1. No, just an unfortunate angle and lighting. But you can see just a little bit of the rufous crown that gives the species its name and the iridescent gorget, neither of which is present in females. Posted 5 years ago

The rufous-capped thornbill is a species of hummingbird in the family Trochilidae. It is found in Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist montane forest and heavily degraded former forest.
