Sharp-lobed Hepatica - Anemone acutiloba
Things are so difficult in New York right now, but nature has no notion of it. I found these beauties growing along a nature trail only about an hour away from NYC.
Habitat: Rocky forest
**Note: I am not sure if this should be identified as Anemone acutiloba or Hepatica nobilis. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Anemone acutiloba is a wildflower in the Ranunculaceae family. It differs from the closely-related blunt-lobed hepatica (Anemone americana) in having more acutely pointed leaf lobes.
Similar species: Ranunculales

We only crossed the border into NY to hike and didn't get near any people, so we stayed safe. Otherwise, we would have had to quarantine ourselves for 14 days. Posted 5 years ago
