      2. I have never seen one so big and heavy!...the ones I have seen so far in Spain in the Mediterranean side are smaller than that but the big specimens can be seen in the fish shops as they are edible :-) Posted 5 years ago, modified 5 years ago

The European conger is a species of conger of the family Congridae. It is the largest eel in the world and native to the northeast Atlantic, including the Mediterranean Sea.
