  2. And here's a third endemic named after Junín, though this one does range more widely in the high Andes of central and southern Peru. There is a fourth one, the Junín tapaculo, but it doesn't occur in the area where I was. I'll have to go back to look for it, and complete the quartet! Posted 5 years ago

The Junín canastero is a species of bird in the Furnariidae family. It is endemic to Peru. Its natural habitat is subtropical or tropical high-altitude grassland.
