I've seen it a few times, generally try to seek out the known ponds or rivers, this is a new pond - won't be wet all year - part of a flood alleviation scheme - but the toads used to spawn in the beck (river) next to the pond. Went back today they were still procreating! Posted 5 years ago

The European toad is an amphibian widespread throughout Europe, with the exception of Iceland, Ireland and some Mediterranean islands. Its easterly range extends to Irkutsk in Siberia and its southerly range includes parts of northwestern Africa in the northern mountains of Morocco, Algeria, and Tunisia.
