Prussian carp - Carassius gibelio
In Vitosha Mountain, near Sofia, there is a botanical reserve with a very small pond, in which I never expected to see fish. Last year in October, the water was very low and I was surprised to see fish flipping in the shallows. I was unable to get any closer because I sank to my knees in the mud, but I managed to take some pictures. It turned out to be Prussian carp, which some unscrupulous put into the pond. I don't believe they survived the winter because the pond completely freezes.

The Prussian carp, silver Prussian carp or Gibel carp, is a member of the family Cyprinidae, which includes many other fish, such as the common carp, goldfish, and the smaller minnows. It is a medium-sized cyprinid, and does not exceed a weight of 6.6 pounds and a size of 45 cm. They are usually silver, although other color variations exist.
