Floating around in the artificial lake of Ivoloina park. The large water plants are "Elephant ears":

Typhonodorum lindleyanum - back side, Andasibe, Madagascar Sometimes called the "Elephant ear plant" but this term is very ambiguous, used to refer to multiple species and even multiple genuses. This particular species,  Typhonodorum lindleyanum, is endemic to Madagascar, like pretty much anything in Madagascar. Not visible on the photo is that it grows in water. <br />

The white-faced whistling duck is a whistling duck that breeds in sub-Saharan Africa and much of South America. This species is gregarious, and at favoured sites, the flocks of a thousand or more birds arriving at dawn are an impressive sight. As the name implies, these are noisy birds with a clear three-note whistling call.
