Convolvulushawk -moth caterpillar - Agrius convolvuli
There is something not quite right with the Genus .
This caterpillar is a bonus as I didn’t search for it. When I had enough spottings and got into the car I found the caterpillar on my shirt sleeve. Lucky me.

"Agrius convolvuli", the convolvulus hawk-moth is a large hawk-moth. It is common throughout Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia and New Zealand, partly as a migrant.
