Scopula minorata? Ivoloina park, Madagascar Scopula minorata seems a visually strong match, and is known to occur also in Madagascar. Only doubtful part are the antennae on my photo, which seem very dark, whilst Scopula minorata antennae are light. I'm not sure if this is a decisive difference. 1. That is weird. Maybe it's a subspecies? Posted 5 years ago
    1. Or just a different angle and some shade making it look darker? Check this shot from another location in Madagascar:
Scopula sp.?, Ranomafana, Madagascar Sorry for the poor angle. Africa,LepiLED,Madagascar,Madagascar 2019,Ranomafana National Park,World

I'd reason these are the same species?

      1. Ohh, yes! Angle definitely seems to be a factor. I agree. Posted 5 years ago

''Scopula minorata'' is a moth of the family Geometridae. It was described by Jean Baptiste Boisduval in 1833. It is found in Africa south of the Sahara, the Arabian Peninsula and on the islands of the Indian Ocean. Furthermore, it is found in southern Europe. It can be distinguished from ''Scopula lactaria'' only by examination of its genitalia.

The wingspan is 15–20 millimetres.
