Stick Insect/Phasmid - Graeffea crouanii I wonder if this is the only species of Stick Insect/Phasmid to be found in French Polynesia.<br />
This Coconut Stick Insect - Graeffea crouanii is considered as pests wherever they are found as they mostly feeds on Coconut leafs, hence its name.  They are probably spread around in the Pacific Islands from fallen coconut fronds that got washed around in the ocean or introduced by humans unknowingly through transport of coconut fronds.
