Pacific Koel- Eudynamys orientalis. ( juvenile ) Last year at around the same time and area I did see a juvenil Pacific Köln but could not get a photo of it. Today I noticed a brownish bird , observing it through the living room window feeding on red berries on the neighbors fence. And yes I got some reasonable photos befor it spotted me getting closer and it flew away. That makes you feel good. Australia,Eudynamys orientalis,Geotagged,Pacific koel,Summer Click/tap to enlarge

The Pacific koel, also known as the eastern koel, is a species of cuckoo in the Cuculidae family. In Australia, it is colloquially known as the ''rainbird'' or ''stormbird'', as its call is usually more prevalent before or during stormy weather.
