Penthimia irrorata - Imago A complete "near miss" in documenting an interesting species, as I didn't manage to get better shots than these.
Turns out there are hardly any images of this species to be found on the internet so far, just two images of museum/collection specimen on obscure websites, not indexed well by the search engines.
So, excuse the "quality" but it's still worthwhile to present an image of a life sample here, me thinks :o)
A few days later, at the same spot, I had found a nymph and made equally useless photos:
1. You're being way too hard on yourself, it's a fine shot! It's sharp, important parts in focus...nothing wrong with it. A great species value too! Posted one month ago
    1. Well, the images give a fair idea of what the species looks like, but you can imagine that I could kick myself for not making a better effort at the time ... :-/ Posted one month ago
  2. Definitely good quality, and it's awesome that you managed to get such valuable photos. Posted one month ago
