  1. Awesome, and you have me convinced...praying mantises don't always eat their prey head-first! And, it makes me wonder how long the prey stays alive while its being munched on. Did you notice if it was still moving at this point? Posted 5 years ago

      Saw the Mantis going after the Grasshopper, the Grasshopper is still alive as the Mantis eating it.
      Got a video of it, same with the Moth.
      And usually after a meal, she will spends time to clean herself up! More so with a Moth as the Moth will struggles and have those powdery stuff coming off their wings. The Mantis will spend time cleaning up properly after a messy meal. They are quite amazing Critter!
