The African Barbbell

Trichodesma africanum is an annual to short-lived perennial plant; it can grow up to 80cm tall. The plant is much-branched, mainly from the base; the stem has rigid, tubercle-based prickles. flowers are small white to light blue.
flowers are up-side down, pollinated by bees in buzz pollination
