    1. No they have lived in this area alwise but two weeks ago there was no green grass at all. However I would not be surprised that kangaroos from bushfire affected areas do move to new more suitable areas by themselves. The distance to the closest fire area would have been approx.30 km away.Thankfully many of the fires are now extinguished due to two weeks of good rain. Posted 5 years ago

The eastern grey kangaroo is a marsupial found in southern and eastern Australia, with a population of several million. Although a big eastern grey male typically masses around 66 kg and stands almost 2 m tall, the scientific name, "Macropus giganteus", is misleading, as the red kangaroo of the semi-arid inland is, at 85 kg, larger.
