
Crambid Moth
An attractive small moth with a wingspan of 20 mm. Mostly brown with a costal margin of dull copper. Both fore and hind wings showed white patches.
The moth was seen resting propped on its long thin white legs and abdomen curled upwards.
Antennae were swept back.
Spotted under garden lights - warm summer night.

''Ischnurges illustralis'' is a moth of the family Crambidae. The species was first described by Julius Lederer in 1863. It is known from Australia and New Guinea.
