Hentzia palmarum (Female)? I came upon this spider in an unusual way. I picked up a glass of water to take a sip and felt something fuzzy and wispy hit my face. I assumed it was cat fur (:P), but when I pulled the glass away, I saw that it was spider silk. This little spider, which was only about 3 mm long, had gotten wet and wasn't moving. I scooped her up and put her on the stage of my digital scope to get some photos and because I was hoping that the heat from the light would dry her out and that she would live. It took awhile, and I nearly gave up, when I saw her start twitching. After several more minutes, her legs straightened out and she seemed completely recovered. So, I released her to a hopefully happy life.
*I think it's a female Hentzia palmarum, but am not sure.
