  2. I discovered this orchid near Bogota Colombia in 1999 in a paintball field, it took me 12 years to convince the orchid world that it was a new species. It was described by Thoerle and Ortiz after I took them to see it in person and we collected a specimen to be preserved for science. Posted 5 years ago
