Bleating tree frog - Litoria dentata Description<br />
A medium-sized tree frog (35&ndash;45 mm). The dorsal colour is typically a light cream or brown, with a broad darker brown band that runs down the back and is divided by a paler stripe running directly down the backbone. The belly is white or cream.<br />
A broad dark stripe runs along the side of the head from the snout, through the eye, to over the shoulder. The back of the thighs and groin are a bright yellow to orange- red colour. The toes are half- webbed. The toe-pads are wider than the toes.<br />

  2. Nice frog! I hope things are not too bad in your area with the bushfires. I feel very upset about all the devastation ongoing in your land every time I see the news.. Posted 5 years ago
    1. We have had maybe 40 mm of rain in some of the fire areas in the last three days . It felt great and it surtainly dampened down some of the fires along the east coast but not enough to finish them. The total area burned so far in all of Australia is estimated to be 10 million hectares (100000 sq km)
      There are still 100 fires burning in the states of NSW & Victoria but with the rain it is hoped to get on top of them. Now of coarse people become aware that the potential for many species of flora and fauna might become extinct, especially species with a limited distribution. It has also made many people change their way of thinking and realise that it might be a good idea to take the global warming issue much more serious.

The bleating tree frog or Keferstein's tree frog is a tree frog of the family ''Hylidae''. This frog is native to coastal eastern Australia, from south-eastern Queensland, to around Eden, New South Wales.
