    It looks like your location is incorrect. Could you fix that so we can get an idea of where you spotted this beauty? I agree that this is probably Mexican petunia (Ruellia simplex). I will add the species for you.

''Ruellia simplex'' is a species of flowering plant in the acanthus family, Acanthaceae. It is a native of Mexico, the Caribbean, and South America. It has become a widespread invasive plant in Florida, where it was likely introduced as an ornamental before 1933.
