Gambian Epauletted Fruit Bats hanging from the ceiling of our lodge These fruit bats are pretty common and often hang out in hotels and lodges near the coast - we stayed in one hotel where they flew in every evening to drink from the swimming pool as they flew by. Bats are usually VERY challenging to identify, but these are fairly unique.
