Male Crowned Lemur - perched, Palmarium, Madagascar
Best viewed full screen. Some additional f/1.4 experimental shots. I learned along the way that for up close photography, it tends to be too soft, the depth of field is too shallow. At about 5-7m of distance as seen here seems to be a sweetspot for this lens (85mm), enough of the subject is in focus and the background is soft as butter.

The crowned lemur is a lemur that is 31–36 cm long and weighs 2 kg. Its tail is about 42–51 cm long. The crowned lemur is endemic to the dry deciduous forests of the northern tip of Madagascar. It eats a diet of mostly flowers, fruits, and leaves.
