
Eastern American Blusher - Amanita amerirubescens group
Cap: Cream colored with a reddish brown center; conical; covered in warts that were cream colored or reddish
Gills: White; crowded; attached; with short gills; some pinkish bruising; they were covered with a partial veil
Stem: White, but with a lot of reddish bruising; equal; bulbous base
Habitat: Growing on the ground (under oak) in a mostly deciduous forest

Cap: Grows up to 120 mm wide. Color varies from pale yellowish-tan or pale tannish-yellow at first, but eventually turn brown or umbrinous. Wounds are reddish-brown. The cap is tacky and broadly conic at first, then finally planar in maturity. Remnants of volva are present as warts, which are subpyramidal and easily removed.
