
Black-and-white ruffed lemur - call 2, Palmarium, Madagascar
A series of images of a Black-and-white ruffed lemur going nuts, meaning they express their call. They very regularly do so, and in this case it was easily kick-started by making a low grunting noise. Check out the mushroom-shaped tongue and the tooth-comb this reveals.

The black-and-white ruffed lemur is the more endangered of the two species of ruffed lemurs, both of which are endemic to the island of Madagascar. Despite having a larger range than the red ruffed lemur, it has a much smaller population that is spread out, living in lower population densities and reproductively isolated.
