Wollemia - Wollemia nobilis I spend some time this year very near to the Wollemi National Park where the Wollemi pine was discovered in 1994 . There is really no way for general visitors to get granted access to see them in the natural habitat . I alwise wanted to see them and therefor I visited the Botanical Gardens near Mount Anan where they have propagated the Wolllemia from cuttings. "Wollemia" is a genus of coniferous trees in the family Araucariaceae. It was known only through fossil records until 1994, when the Australian species "Wollemia nobilis" was discovered in a temperate rainforest wilderness area of the Wollemi National Park in New South Wales.
