
Protambulyx goeldii
Wikipedia has this moth not in Venezuela but I have read other descriptions of it being present at some altitude in Venezuela. It is also described as being present in Guyana so I believe that this is correctly identified. Any advice to the contrary or otherwise welcomed - The moth was approximately 65 mm in size

As for ID, I'm not 100% convinced of the current proposal. For two reasons, based on checking reference photos:
- Your photo shows an abdomen with vertical triangles at each band, reference photos do not
- Your photo shows black wing edges with a pattern of white dots, and from each white dot a vertical line crossing the wings, reference photos do not show this.
The app I use suggests "Eumorpha anchemolus". I think it matches closer:
