Indri experience 3, Mitsinjo reserve, Andasibe, Madagascar
An nice surprise, we did not know or expect Palmarium to house the Indri species. The surprise got even better when we saw that this is mother with a baby hiding in her fur. Photos of the young one coming in part II.
The indri, also called the babakoto, is one of the largest living lemurs. It is a diurnal tree-dweller related to the sifakas and, like all lemuroids, it is native to Madagascar.
