Thanks - we do try to go somewhere a bit different and get away from the crowds - which was why we were in Colombia this year & then it's keeping eyes open - we did see a big cat in 2015 in Venezuela - I'll have to find that (not a jaguar) Ocelot (in Disney pose with a wood-rail) Posted 5 years ago

The spectacled caiman, also known as the white caiman or common caiman, is a crocodilian reptile found in much of Central and South America. It lives in a range of lowland wetland and riverine habitat types and can tolerate salt water as well as fresh; due in part to this adaptability it is the most common of all crocodilian species.
