Globe-horned chameleon, Pyreras Reserve, Madagascar I would have never expected chameleon identification to be so hard. My theory is that this is a Parson's chameleons because of the two horns on the nose end as well as the row of metal-like dots that lead to it. The Globe-horned chameleon is a large species of chameleon that is endemic to isolated pockets of humid primary forest in eastern and south eastern Madagascar. It is listed on CITES Appendix II, meaning that trade in this species is regulated.
