  1. Big one! What's it feeding on, Ruth? Posted 5 years ago
    1. I've had everything from dead mice to remains of small snakes, to McDonald's fries brought in to the garden by this character. If it's feeling generous, it will sometimes leave the remains of a mouse carcass in the bird bath for me ha. Posted 5 years ago
      1. Ha not picky. And surely intelligent birds. Reminds me of the smaller Western Jackdaw. They keep plundering our garden, including the food we put up for small song birds. They also robbed my insect hotel. Posted 5 years ago
  2. How are the wildfires near you, Ruth? Are they contained? Posted 5 years ago
    1. Thanks for asking Christine. I've been lucky, all close to me are contained/extinguished. The closest out of control one currently is a monster in the Wollemi National Park, 200 km west and moving south-east toward the coast. It is so large now, that despite the distance, the smoke from it has turned our blue sky completely grey and almost blocked out the sun this past three days. No rain for the foreseeable future I'm afraid. Posted 5 years ago
      1. So horrifying! But, I'm so glad you are safe and hope your family and friends are as well! Hopefully the fires will be contained and be extinguished soon. Thinking of you all <3. Posted 5 years ago
